While caffeine should be used with caution, it can still be used responsibly to help aid your training program when used responsibly.</p>
<p>So how much caffeine is safe? Well, that all depends on your weight, for the average 180 lb person, 300-400 milligrams of caffeine is sufficient which is the equivalent to two regular sized cups of coffee. Caffeine can be consumed by coffee, tea, cocoa, energy drinks or simply by taking caffeine pills. Caffeine typically takes 30 to 60 minutes to start working and will last anywhere from four to six hours.</p>
<p>So be sure to consume at least an hour prior to your workout in order to gain maximum performance. Some people, especially if used for a long period of time, may grow accustom to the product and thus show less results over time. So, as with every other supplement, always be careful and keep close watch on your heart rate to ensure safety for ultimate results.</p>

<p>While creatine will not do anything on it&#8217;s own, it does help a good bit if you&#8217;re trying to gain the extra few extra pounds of muscle. So after reading this, you&#8217;re probably wondering &#8216;if creatine does not build my muscle for me but it still helps with something what does it help with&#8217;.</p>
<p>Well creatine basically allows your muscles to hold more water which helps you in two ways. The first way being, creatine makes your muscles look bigger. Now while creatine makes your muscles look bigger it makes them less &#8216;cut&#8217; by cut i mean the muscles definition.</p>
<p>The second being that the water in the muscle gives them more energy. The more energy is what i would say is more helpful. The reason i would it is more helpful is that the more energy you have you can do just a few more reps.</p>

<p><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-83" title="3380660968_23b9f0f0cd" src="http://www.trifectamultisport.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/3380660968_23b9f0f0cd-300x199.jpg" alt="3380660968_23b9f0f0cd" width="300" height="199" />Your recommended hydration will change depending on the exercise and your body type, but the principle is still the same: your body needs to be hydrated.</p>
<p>Before beginning your workout, it is recommended that you drink at least a half-litter bottle of water or juice (preferably with pulp). The purpose of this initial fluid intake is to wake your metabolism and ensure that while you warm up, your body will have enough energy to sustain a prolongued workout later.</p>
<p>During your workout, you should drink at least a cup of water or electrolyte drink (Gatorade for example) after every hour of working out. That way you replenish your fluids lost while sweating and you speed up fat burn.</p>
<p>After your workout, it is recommended that you drink at least a litter of either water, juice (again with pulp) or milk. Protein shakes are acceptable if you choose that route, but they are more expensive than milk and serve the same purpose: replenish fat and proteins in your body.</p>

Carbs have many uses in the body; one important use is for glycogen storage, so that there is available energy for the muscles to draw upon during intense, prolonged exercise sessions.</p>
<p>Generally, people can get all the energy that they need from normal consumption of carbohydrates such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and dairy. The average person doesn&#8217;t need to consume too many carbs, or this leads to fat storage. However, those who train heavily and use more energy, need not only to eat a high carb diet, but also to to take special carbohydrate <a href="http://www.nutritional-supplement-guides.com" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/www.nutritional-supplement-guides.com');" title="supplements">supplements</a> to maintain a higher level of available energy.</p>
<p>There are two basic kinds of carbohydrate <a href="http://www.abswiki.com/category/supplements" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/www.abswiki.com');" title="supplements">supplements</a>, complex and simple. The complex carbohydrate <a href="http://www.abswiki.com/category/supplements" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/www.abswiki.com');" title="supplements">supplements</a> are more complex starches, which are broken down into simple carbohydrate molecules. These are taken before exercise in order to ensure a slow but steady release of energy, or following exercise to replenish energy.</p>
<p>Simple carbohydrate supplements are basic sugars that cannot be broken down any further. These provide but a quick burst of energy, and are best used during exercise for an immediate need. Complex carbohydrate supplements should be used only before or after exercise, because of their slower digestion and absorption rate.</p>
<p>Carbohydrate supplements are found in both liquid and powder form. The liquid form is easier to digest and also provides needed fluids.</p>
<p>There are many places to buy carbohydrate supplements. One popular place is GNC. This is a place where I have found what I need most often. There are also numerous online stores, such as Become.com, a1supplements.com, professionalsupplements.net, among others. It would probably be best to do some personal research on what would be the best place to find what is most suited to your individual needs!</p>
