Testosterone supplements are taken by those people looking to improve their overall well being and help raise their testosterone levels.399172498_99152d293aWhile testosterone supplements are praised for giving a middle aged man new life and the energy and well being of a twenty year old it also has some negative side affects. When ever you take the supplements your body essentially stops making its own testosterone so you have to continue to take the supplements if you want to feel like a man. The moment you stop taking the supplements you will have withdraw like symptoms such as weakness and fatigue and even as far as your voice going up a pitch.

It is important to know if you are a good candidate for the supplements and if you are you have to understand how much to take. Taking testosterone supplements at age twenty will severely mess up your bodies hormone system and will result in you feeling good at the time of taking the supplements, but feeling terrible for the rest of your life, or until your body can start creating the previous high levels of testosterone on its own.

So overall if you are looking into taking testosterone supplements to give yourself a little boost, first consult your doctor to see if you are a candidate and if you are make sure you take the recommended dosage.
